Facebook is offering you seven seconds to edit with if you think your profile is too stagnant. You can now choose to use a brief, looping profile video instead of your profile photo.
Go to your profile page and press your profile photo to create a profile video using Facebook’s iOS or Android app. Select Profile Video or Take a New Profile Video are the options available on iOS. The last option is called Upload Video or Photo on Android.
Since last autumn, video profiles have been available on iOS. You may use the iOS app to edit films longer than seven seconds so that they can be used as your Facebook profile. Android requires you to select a video that is 7 seconds or less, and you are unable to cut movies. You may also turn off the sound in profile videos on Facebook for iOS. To do this, you’ll need to cut your video. You are limited to using sound for profile videos on Android. Since editing videos was not possible when profile videos originally appeared on iOS, I would anticipate that Android would eventually get cutting and muting features.

You may choose a thumbnail from a video after you’ve taken or uploaded it to use as your profile image. The image will appear in the news stream on Facebook. People may add some flare to their accounts without making Facebook’s newsfeed too distracting by just displaying your video when they visit your profile page.
In other places in The update includes a new bio field where you can submit a brief, 101-character biographical statement and featured images where you can choose which five photographs show up on your profile page when viewed on a mobile device. You may access both of these features from your profile page on desktop and mobile devices.
Finally, on both iOS and Android, you may set a temporary Facebook profile photo (but not a video). There is a little “Make temporary” option in the lower-left corner of the Crop page when you choose a new image to use as your profile picture. You may choose 1 Hour, 1 Day, 1 Week, or Custom by tapping this button.
