About the Role:

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of our data catalogue, Collibra. You will collaborate with key stakeholders to maintain and govern critical data elements and consumption contexts. You will also focus on identifying opportunities to streamline and automate data management processes to improve overall efficiency.

Your responsibilities will include developing data quality rules using tools such as Ataccama and Data Plex, as well as collaborating with teams across various sectors, including Insurance, Pensions, and Investments, to provide insights and value for our customers. You will also be responsible for aligning with both IP&I and group policies while promoting best practices in data management.

You will play a key role in investigating data issues, recommending solutions, and identifying opportunities to mitigate data risks, all while educating colleagues on data management policies and principles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that the data catalogue (Collibra) is accurate, complete, and up to date, identifying and approving critical data elements and consumption contexts through governance.
  • Work with stakeholders to simplify and automate data management processes, improving overall data governance.
  • Develop data quality rules and apply them within data management tools such as Ataccama and Data Plex.
  • Collaborate with colleagues from various departments, including Insurance, Pensions, and Investments, to provide data insights and ensure alignment with organizational policies.
  • Educate both business and data teams on best practices in data management, policies, and principles.
  • Investigate and analyze data to identify solutions for business areas and mitigate data risks.

Skills and Experience:

  • Strong experience in Data Management with a solid understanding of Data Governance policies and practices, including Data Quality and Metadata Management.
  • Expertise in creating and documenting Data Dictionaries, with hands-on experience using tools such as Ataccama, Collibra, and other data management platforms.
  • Experience working with large datasets and sourcing data from strategic sources, such as data warehouses.
  • A strong desire to learn new data management techniques, technologies, and work in an agile environment.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Proven experience in leading and managing a team of data analysts to deliver high-quality outcomes.
